Song mode
A song is just patterns in order. Pattern 1 plays for 4 bars, then Pattern 2 for 4, then back to Pattern 1 — and you have a verse/chorus/verse. Song mode lets you define that sequence.
- Tap the SONG toggle in the transport bar.
- The pattern bank expands into an arrangement timeline — a row of blocks you can fill.
- Tap to add Pattern 1 to the first slot.
- Add Pattern 2 to the second slot.
- Add Pattern 1 again to the third slot.
- Press play. The patterns chain: 1 → 2 → 1.
You can label each block — tap it to cycle through INTRO, VERSE, CHORUS, BRIDGE, DROP, OUTRO. These labels don't change the sound — they help you see the structure at a glance.
Move to the Edit screen
Navigate to the EDIT screen. This is a multi-track timeline — like a simplified DAW view. Your drum arrangement and sampler parts appear as coloured clips on separate tracks.
- Pinch to zoom in on the timeline so you can see individual bars.
- Tap SNAP in the transport bar. This locks clips to the bar grid — so nothing ends up half a beat off when you drag it.
- Drag clips left or right to reposition them.
- Use the per-track volume sliders to balance drums against your sample. The sample should sit behind the drums, not fight them.
Trim and fade
A track that starts abruptly and ends abruptly sounds unfinished. Two small moves fix that.
- Long-press the first clip in your arrangement. Select FADE. A fade-in handle appears — drag it to create a gentle 2–4 bar intro.
- Do the same on the last clip with a fade-out.
- If any clip has dead space or an awkward tail, long-press it and select TRIM. Drag the handles to tighten it up.
You have a structured arrangement — drums and sample together on a timeline with an intro, body, and outro. The levels are balanced and the edges are smooth. This is a track.
