EDIT
Choose a format
ESSNCE exports in four formats. Each has a purpose.
FLAC
Lossless. Full quality, nothing lost. Best for archiving or sending to a platform that accepts lossless.
WAV 24-bit
Industry standard. Use this if someone asks for stems, or you're sending to a mixing engineer.
WAV 16-bit
Slightly smaller. CD-quality. Still pristine.
MP3 320k
Compressed but transparent. Use for sharing on social media, messaging, or SoundCloud.
When in doubt — export FLAC for keeping, MP3 for sharing.
Export the track
- Make sure nothing is selected on the timeline (tap empty space to deselect). This tells ESSNCE to export the full arrangement, not just one clip.
- Tap EXPORT in the transport bar.
- Choose your format.
- Tap export. The file lands in your downloads folder, named after your project.
You can also export a single clip or sample — from the EDIT screen by selecting one clip first, or from the SMPLR screen by long-pressing a pad and choosing export in the sound designer.
Done
Your track is exported. A real audio file on your device. You just made a complete piece of music from scratch, on your phone.
